By race-day, there might be a good turn-out. Not to mention a competitive local field. Looks like most of the big dogs will be out there. It'll be fun to get out there with everyone. Looks like the weather my let up by race-time too. Thank you Lord.

The weather looks like it might be ok by race time. The field is pretty big right now, and we do have a lot of fast guys and girls. I don't think the course records are in in jeopardy though...

Even though I'm in the Austin area, and could have signed up for their half marathon, I decided to wait for Delavan. I think I made a good choice. (Today...I slept in!)

I know there are some winter races, but this race always seems like the coming out of hibernation race. Its always great to see everyone. Plus, like Schroff said, its a great barometer for beginning of the season fitness.

This to me is the start of the running season. I could really care less about how well I do (course, that's bull----) ;) But it really is a good guage as to how the fitness is going into the running season. Not to mention for those guys getting ready to do the their spring marathons, its a great tune-up race.

This is hands-down the finest half-marathon. I'm looking forward to a fun race and to stretch the legs after a long winters' nap.

This years field was incredible! I was amazed at the number of rabbits that ran this year. I had the run of my life and was in middle of the pack! David, Thanks for a great race experience. Your dedication and attention to detail ensured everything went extremely well. I have the best friends in the world and you are definitly one of them! Thank your mom for me too. The food was awsome! She put a lot of work in and it showed.
Cheers, Rob

How does Delavan rank with other 1/2s? Name your top 3. Mine: 1. Delavan- hometown feel, shake the winter cobwebs out. I dig the country road race 2. IVS half- tough challenge just before the fall marathon 3. Chicago Dist. classic -nice course
